We believe handbells sound like Christmas. We also believe the “show” must go on. Behold, “Tidings of Comfort and Joy!”
Creativity and energy spring from adversity. Even during a pandemic, the Capital Ringers will still be performing for you during the holiday season, and you will have multiple options to hear and see us playing.
The performance includes favorites such as “Winter Wonderland” and “Wizards in Winter,” as well as beautiful new arrangements that will give you Christmas goosebumps.
- Individuals can purchase a video link to our full concert of 10 songs (including song introductions) for $25, including a bonus video describing the making of our show and interviews with the composers of our selections.
- Or you can subscribe online to receive two video links per week, beginning November 21, which will be emailed to you with an introduction to each piece.
- We will also offer the opportunity to brand and gift our concert to employees and customers, church congregations, shut-ins, students, 55-plus communities, senior centers . . .
. . . the possibilities are not only endless, they are not limited to people on Delmarva!
The Capital Ringers have been rehearsing holiday music safely since July, and we have made investments in video and audio equipment, as well as software, to bring our show to you.
“When we canceled our shows and private events in March, we began to look for a means of reaching out to people with our music,” explained Linda Simms, Capital Ringers founder and artistic director. “Our team of volunteers decided to meet the challenge with some creative solutions and long hours of planning and rehearsals. I can’t wait to see the end product, because it will be filled with our passion for music and support for our mission: Igniting hearts and minds through the power of music.”
