Become a ringer or non-ringing volunteer

Consider joining Delmarva’s premier community handbell ensemble

If you are 18, can read music, and enjoy live musical performances, you should consider joining us. There are also opportunities for non-ringing volunteers (at right).

Maybe you are already playing in a church group and would like to try spreading your wings musically. However, previous handbell experience is not necessarily required. We also have a beginner-to-intermediate group, Bay2Bay Ringers.

A commitment to Capital Ringers is rigorous but rewarding. During rehearsal season (fall and late winter), Capital Ringers rehearse at least two hours every Sunday afternoon. Members are expected to help out in other areas that reflect their personal interests such as equipment maintenance, publicity, mentoring newer ringers, community outreach, and other opportunities.

Opportunities for non-ringing volunteers, too

While our ringers are important, there is a lot going on behind the scenes to make our live shows and recordings successful. We especially need volunteers to join our tech team that focuses on sound, video and lights. We also welcome people to help with publicity, set design, administrative help, and more.

Contact Judy Peterson, our Membership Services Support Team lead, with any inquiries about joining Capital Ringers or Bay2BayRingers.

Please take a few minutes to read through our member handbook to understand what membership in Capital Ringers entails.
