Linda Simms, Capital Ringers founder and artistic director.

The limited three-show engagement launches the farewell year of our founder and artistic director, Linda Simms. After 18 years, Linda is part of Capital Ringers’ search team for a new artistic director. We will announce the details of our search in early April.

“These arrangements reflect our emergence from a tough time into the sunlight of new beginnings and hope,” Linda said. She is already planning the Christmas program, “Christmas Reflections,” which will be her final concert series with the ensemble. Her husband, technical director Jim Simms, also is retiring from Capital Ringers.

The shows will be:

  • 4 p.m. Sunday, April 24 at Mary Mother of Peace Catholic Church, 30839 Mt. Joy Road in Millsboro
  • 4 p.m. Sunday, May 1 at Conley’s United Methodist Church, 33106 Jolyn’s Way, Lewes
  • 4 p.m. Saturday, May 7 at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 301 King Charles Ave., Rehoboth Beach
